Also, Michael Jordan had become the face of the NBA and a major pop culture icon with his 6 championships, 5 NBA MVP awards, 14-time All-Star selection, 6-time Finals MVP, and a NBA Defensive Player of the Year award.

The game of golf had also changed when Tiger Woods had won the Masters Tournament. He won it in 1997 when he was only 21 – making him the youngest and the first American of multiracial descent to win the Masters. Tiger Woods did an astonishing job, winning it by a record of 12 strokes.
